Pizza & Movie Night

That’s exactly what we needed! What a wonderful evening!

To our surprise, more than 300 tickets were sold for a less-cold-then-feared openair movie evening last Friday evening. Our first very excited and rather young guests came running in pajamas and superhero costumes, dragging their bean-bag-dragging parents along with them already far before the doors were meant to open. Mougins School looked like the most colourful and joyful playground of all times and when we see playground, we clearly mean for all ages: A big and happy gathering of students, siblings, parents, and grandparents!

Autumn Celebration - October 15th

On Friday 15th October 2021, all parents of Mougins School were invited to participate in the Autumn Celebration which was held in the Community Coffee area.

The primary choir, the secondary choir, and the parents’ choir performed whilst parents had a coffee and croissant from the juice bar! The primary children had prepared artwork and poems that they showed to their enchanted parents.

Les Petites Soeurs des Pauvres in Nice had a fantastic amount of food donated from our Harvest event, which was really appreciated! A big thank you to all of you who donated!

Many many thanks to all the fabulous and adorable PTA decorating volunteers for their support and marvelous work!…Pia, Ingrid, Alina, Sandra, Liesel, Sooeon, Ashley, Amelia, Anja, Annie, Cassandra, Fiona, Kinga, Pamela, Rhianon, Virginie, Frichet, Isabella, Courtney, and Daniela.

Finally an enormous thank you to the parents ‘ choir… Chiara, Leila, Laure, Silvia, Laurence, Daniela, Liesel, Ingrid, Lara and Pia!

Sports Day - Secondary School

Sports Day (run by Mougins School, PTA is helping out with drinks and food) for Secondary school will take place Friday, October 8th (Primary's Sports Day will take place in the spring).

On Friday, Oct 8th, the children are to be dropped off at 8.30 and picked up at 16.00 in Stade Eric Estival in Mandelieu. Please start planning for this change in your day! (For families where this will cause a real problem there will be a limited number of seats in the school bus)

This year parents are welcome to join as spectators and a sanitary pass is required. There will be food and beverages for sale by the PTA for funding for future PTA activities. There is no canteen lunch so don't forget to bring packed lunch for your child. Also, if you plan to come as a volunteer or a spectator you need to bring the document sent out by Anabela on Wednesday 29th. You can find it HERE.)

We need volunteers for this event!

In charge from the PTA is Sabine Bascle. If you would like to help out in planning and organising this day, please sign up HERE and Sabine will get back to you. If you have any questions you can contact her HERE. We will need 3-6 parents at Stade Eric Estival at all times during this whole day and we have divided it into different sections (morning, lunch, and afternoon). Looking forward to seeing many of you there!

An update!

Under a wonderfully blue sky, Secondary School's Sports Day unfolded this last Friday, October 8th. Close to 300 kids, 30+ current and former teachers, and 60 parents attended the event as spectators and helpers and shared a wonderful moment and actual big life school event again, which was visibly enjoyed and appreciated by all. Should it be high jumps, javelin, 200m races, or any of the other competitions, all participants felt supported and cheered for across all houses! Every student seemed to give her or his best and was honored and congratulated for exactly that. This is the Mougins School spirit that we love and cherish so much!!!

The PTA, led by Sabine Bascle and Svetlana Pivovarovas, was helping out with drinks and food with a great team of volunteers from Mougins School Parents.
